Bill Gates is hanging out with the chairman of General Motors.

Bill Gates is hanging out with the chairman of General Motors.

“If automotive technology had kept pace with computer technology over the past few decades,” boasts Gates, “you would now be driving a V-32 instead of a V-8, and it would have a top speed of 10,000 miles per hour. Or, you could have an economy car that weighs 30 pounds and gets a thousand miles to a gallon of gas. In either case, the sticker price of a new car would be less than $50.”

“Sure,” says the GM chairman. “But would you really want to drive a car that crashes four times a day?”

Q: What did Gates’ wife say to him on their wedding night?
A: Now I know why you called your company Micro-soft.

Q: What is the first computer ever invented?
A: Apple. Coz in the garden of Eden, Eve already touched & ate the apple.

Mac OS, what’s holding me back?

Mac OS is an alternative for alternatives without an alternative, switching away from Microsoft Windows to Mac OS will make me stuck with Apple hardware. Is this enough reason to switch from Windows to Mac OS? Certainly not.

  1. I love Mac OS interface. Who doesn’t? But it’s not enough reasons for me to switch to Mac OS and here are some of the reasons:
    • Using Mac OS is like using an exclusive technology. Apple’s Mac OS only have 5% of the market share, that’s mean that you are a handicap to the 95% of the technology. You wouldn’t want that.
    • Using Mac OS is like using an exclusive technology. It means that once you’ve stuck with the beauty and the user friendly user interface, you would not want to use Windows anymore. This is not helping our career moves, is it? You would not be useful or worth hiring for again, because most Mac OS users will keep whining how great is the user interface and how suck is the Windows. Who want to hire a whiner?
    • Using Mac OS is like using an exclusive software and hardware. Try to find the softwares and the hardware’s spare parts for Apple machine, you wont find the alternatives, the softwares are very limited.
  2. I hate Windows Vista user interface. Who doesn’t? But it’s not enough reasons for me to switch to Mac OS and here are some of the reasons:
    • Using Windows Vista is like using a beta technology. It’s always crashes and it’s hard to use. People say when you can master the difficult one, the easy one is like a walk in the park. Beside, Windows have the 95% of the market share. I stick with the winner.
    • Using Windows Vista is like using a beta technology. You may be stuck with the ugly duckling, but majority of the people can afford it and they use it personally and in a corporate world.
    • Using Windows Vista is like using a beta technology with so many softwares and hardwares galore. Viva (suck) Windows.

There is nothing new under the Sun.

Tidak ada hal yang baru dibawah matahai (there is nothing new under the sun).

Terima kasih persaingan, terima kasih pasar bebas, selamat tinggal monopoli.

My Dream Mobile Phone

These are some features that most of mobile manufacturers have not think of or they may have think about it.

  • Auto Select (Rule Generator).
Sure some of the mobile device already have some of this dual mode (GSM and CDMA) that can accommodate more then one mobile number in one device.
Many of mobile operators offer “special offers”, mostly they offered discounted talk-time or sms (text) based on their marketing strategies. I wish we can set a rule on our mobile phone for some numbers, so that when we call the particular number, the phone can call based on assigned operator (GSM or CDMA) to save cost by taking advantage of the particular mobile operator special offers.
  • Built-in BlackBerry Connect or Push Mail

  • Fast processor (yes, this is very important)
  • Office applications (Microsoft compatible)
  • Quad Band, UMTS and 4G
  • Speech text recognition for faster SMS (text) typing
  • Voice enabled dial
  • World GPS enabled
  • Video Players (DVD, MP4 and many more)

Windows Mobile? No, thank you.

I’ve used Pocket PC and later on changed it’s name to Windows Mobile 5 and 6. What was Microsoft thinking? Didn’t they figure it out that many users nowadays have more then one mobile phones?Version 6 already and they still could not figure it out to put more then one mobile phone field on one contact. If my friend have more then once mobile phone (yes, more then one, GSM and CDMA), I have to choose which one is it to be input into the fields. Is it going to be on car phone field or is it on pager field? This is silly Microsoft! More and more business travelers carry more then one mobile phone, one is for their home mobile phone and one is for the visited country (using prepaid GSM or CDMA card).

I am into Symbian OS, they’ve figured out that some users have more then one mobile phone. With Symbian (Nokia, Sony Ericsson), I can easily add extra fields on email and particularly on extra mobile phone field.

If Windows Mobile wants a bigger market share, they have to start to think about what users (people) needs.

If you disagree with me, please email me at blog(at)wanhart(at)com Windows Mobile 6 contact (on edit mode) screen shots on how to add more mobile field in one contact. On the other hand, for Nokia and Sony Ericsson users, please email me the contact screen shots (on edit mode) and show me how to add mobile field in one contact. Thank you.
